Mill on the Floss – Cosmo Club

Most readers sang the praises of the literary style of the author. While a couple of readers found it tedious at times, it was most rewarding. Eliot’s wonderful character descriptions, her exposure of social, moral and religious conventions of the day, the importance of education for males, and the descriptions of the countryside is inspiring.
